We are one step closer to hosting one of the most exhilarating events on the annual calendar – The Belmont Literature Carnivale. This is a week long celebration of literature, art, illustration, storytelling and for the first time storytelling through puppetry.  Students will be immersed in a variety of workshops delivered by presenters who are at the forefront of their field. Children will undertake workshops on puppetry, storytelling, illustration, the creative writing process and poetry.
The presenters will be:
1 Author, artist, poet and musician – Gregg Dreise
2 Author/ Illustrator – Angela Sunde
3 Illustrator – Sarah Davis
4 Illustrator – Dianne Somers-Cook
5 Puppeteer – Brett Hansen
A profile of these presenters will appear in newsletters over the 5 weeks leading up to the Literature Carnival. Each of the sessions will be one hour duration. On Wednesday 31st August children are encouraged to come in costume as either a favourite book character or as an interpretation of this year’s theme – Australia: Story Country. Feel free to assist your children with their costume designs. There will be a spectacular parade which will be held in the hall at 8.50am – 9.45am on Wednesday 31st August. The cost for the entire week is still only $20.00. Thankyou for embracing this fabulous opportunity for your child’s learning.
