Day for Daniel

Friday 27 October our school will be participating in “Day for Daniel”. All students and staff are encouraged to wear a red t-shirt or top – in keeping in line with sun safety requirements – to raise awareness about “keeping kids safe”. Please note that this is not a fundraiser, so no gold coin is required.
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation held the first “Day for Daniel” in November 2005, and the day has become a National Day of Action to raise awareness of child safety, protection and harm prevention. The day is about educating children and adults with regards to keeping kids safe through child safety and protection initiatives. “Day for Daniel” aims to help empower our children to Recognise, React and Report if they feel something is not right. Students will be learning about these valuable lessons during class discussions.
