Mental Health Awareness

On Tuesday 16 October, all students are invited to wear purple accessories and/or a purple item (or items) of clothing – the colour associated with mental health. Please note this is not a free dress day or fundraiser, and no gold coin is needed to be brought in. I look forward to our Tuesday afternoon assembly – the first for fourth term – being a very “purple” one!
On Wednesday 17 October, we will host a parent information session and morning tea from 9am in our MPC. This morning is designed to provide an opportunity for parents to come together and hear from guest speakers, as well as develop a greater understanding of mental health and wellbeing. Our first Mental Health Week parent information session and morning tea was held last year and we look forward to building on the success of this event. For more details and information, please see Ros Green’s section of this week’s newsletter.
